How much access space is required to get the jumping castle to the set up area?

Access ways need to allow for at least 1 meter of space, and for the larger combo style castles at least 1.5 meters of horizontal space is needed.

What if there are steps to get to the setup area?

If there are steps you will need to notify us when making a booking as the castles weigh between 100kg to 180kg and they are difficult to manoeuvre up & down steps.

How long does it take to setup the jumping castle?

It takes about 20 minutes to setup the jumping castles depending on the type of access.

How long does it take to dismantle the jumping castle?

It takes 20 minutes – 30 minutes to clean and dismantle the jumping castle.

Who sets up the jumping castle?

The jumping castle will be setup and dismantled by a Character Jumps staff member.

Can we move the castle during the hire period?

No, the castle must not be moved once it has been setup due to safety requirements.

Are the setup & dismantling times included in the hire time?

No, we setup before the requested time & it will be dismantled after the requested time concludes.

How long can I have the castle?

We have 4 hour or 7 hour hire blocks.

Does someone need to supervise the castle?

Yes, for the safety of the children using the castle, a responsible adult over the age of 18 MUST supervise the castle at all times. Training will be given upon completion of the setup.

Do you have insurance?

Yes, Character Jumps carries $20 million dollars Public Liability Insurance. Please let us know if you require a copy.

What is the maximum age allowed on the castle?

All our jumping castles have an age limit of 12 years old. We recommend that the children using the castle are grouped according to age, and only children of similar age and size use the jumping castle at the same time.

What surface can the jumping castle be setup on?

The castles can be setup on grass, concrete, paving or asphalt as long as the area is flat and there is no sharp objects/ rocks that could damage the castle. Please inform us if the castle is not being setup on grass so we can inspect the area prior to your hire date.

What happens if we damage the jumping castle?

If the damage is considered to be malicious then you are liable for full cost of repairs and transport costs associated with the repairs.
